: S.H.A.R.E. Program :: Movie & Skate Nights :: A Little About Us

The Island Community Center is a host site for S.H.A.R.E. (Self Help And Resource Exchange). Each month SHARE distributes food at up to 50% savings through a network of community organizations hosted by volunteers. A basic SHARE package costs $18.00 (cash only) and consists of frozen meats, fresh produce and grocery items. SHARE food is purchased off the national market from growers and producers. It is quality food found in major grocery chains. Other packages are available as well to meet participant’s needs. SHARE is open to everyone! It is a self-supporting, non-profit program and actually gains strength through participation. In addition to saving money on food, participants can contribute volunteer service to their communities. For more information, please call 778-1908 ext. 0.
